This programme provides an excellent introduction to the world of Event Management with Public Relations.
Equipping students with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to pursue a successful career in the events industry.
The aim is to provide relevant, professional education for students on aspects of the planning, marketing and management of events and public relations programmes in this multifaceted industry.
Students have the opportunity to progress into the level 7 Event Management with Public Relations programme and complete an integrated work placement at the end of Year 2. Follow on studies at level 7 and 8 of the Event Management with Public Relations programme enables students to develop skills and experience at operational and supervisory management levels, thus experiencing first-hand the challenges, demands and rewards of working in this exciting and ever-changing industry.
Special Features
Field trips and regular events are at the core of the teaching on the programme and are attached to a variety of modules to enhance the application of the learning.
Students will engage in a variety of field trips and events, both at home and abroad such as Galway International Arts Festival, Connacht Rugby, Aviva Stadium, Croke Park, Ploughing Championships, Dublin to locations such as the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery and Airbnb.
