This module aims to develop a critical understanding of interpersonal and organisational processes that influence the nature of the employment relationship. Learners will explore competing perspectives on various organisational concepts and contemporary developments in management, work, and employment.

HR Analytics & Information Systems (Mandatory)

This module develops the students' analytic capability through exploring tools to inform decisions and HR investments. In addition, the module complements other HR modules by recognising the importance of information management and systems in the HRM decision-making process, strategic HRM, organisational change and development and HR evaluation.

Research Methods
and Dissertation (Mandatory)

This module enables students to develop their research skills including identifying a research question and critically reviewing academic and/or professional literature to address that question. Students will formulate, research, analyse and submit a dissertation on a pre-agreed research problem.

Employment Law, Mediation and Negotiation (Mandatory)

This module will be taught online once a week for both semesters. The module aims to equip students with a comprehensive knowledge of employment and industrial relations law and the legal implications of the Employer/ Employee relationship including important mediation and negotiation skills.

This module aims to explain core concepts concerned with the role and effectiveness of training and development in organisations and to identify and develop the skills necessary to be an effective trainer.
