Food and Beverage Tourism

Description

The aim of this module is to critically analyse the food and beverage tourism sector in Ireland and internationally and to examine how trends in food and drink tourism can impact on the hospitality and tourism sector in general and future opportunities for growth.

 

 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Link the nature, significance and development of food and beverage tourism with the culture and enhancement of the destination

  2. Critically evaluate the key elements of food and beverage tourism products and analyse future trends in the sector

  3. Evaluate national and international food and beverage tourism champions and analyse key reasons for success

  4. Demonstrate an understanding of the potential for growth of future food and beverage tourism products in Ireland and internationally
