ATU Connect
Through funding from the Programme for Access to Higher Education (PATH), the ATU Connect Team engages with secondary schools, further education colleges and communities to run a variety of activities and supports to help individuals gain access to, and succeed in, higher education.

View details about our third level mentoring here.
The ATU Connect team works with schools and communities to support students in their journey towards third-level education, regardless of their circumstances or background.
We support school-leavers and adult learners to prepare for, apply to, and succeed at college.
Talk to us to organise activities such as:
- School talks
- In-school programmes
- Career workshops
- Campus visits
- Bespoke activities - come to us with ideas!
The ATU Connect team is here to help make the transition to higher education as smooth as possible, and we support our students every step of the way. We offer a range of supports, so we can find what works best for you, including a College Mentoring Programme.
The ATU Connect Mentoring Programme is run in conjunction with our community partner Foróige. The mentoring model developed was based on the “Big Brother Big Sister” mentoring programme first used in the United States and has been adapted for use in a higher education setting.
This is a formal mentoring programme that matches mentors and mentees on a one to one basis. Matches are based on mutual interests and complimentary personalities to ensure our mentees get the most out of their time with ATU.
