BIM for Surveyors 2

This module will build on the skills and competence acquired in year one to represent buildings graphically using computer software and hardware. Students will be introduced to representing buildings in 3D and further enhancement of 5D costing skills. 

1. Explore applications associated with the production of models and drawings for construction and digital cost estimating.

2. Apply his / her knowledge of drawing conventions and systems to solving problems.

3. Read and understand what is represented graphically and take what information is needed from the drawing.

4. Explore and apply onscreen measurement.

5. Appreciate the power of contemporary hardware and software as they apply to design, drawing and onscreen measurement.
