Biological Science for Fundamental Nursing Knowledge and Skills

The aim of this module is to provide the student with necessary preliminary instruction in biological and clinical science relevant to nursing practice. 

1. Describe human anatomy fundamental to nursing practice.

2. Describe human physiology fundamental to nursing practice.

3. Identify common pathologies and their causes.

4. Outline clinical investigations fundamental to nursing practice.

5. Explain regulation and control of human body systems including homeostasis.

6. Explain key concepts in pharmacology.

7. Accurately identify and use reliable pharmacological resources.

8. Describe the pharmacology of commonly used medications.
