Building Economics 1

This module will introduce the basics fundamentals of construction both pre and post contract.

1. Develop an understanding of the construction process from inception to completion

2. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the various documents in use in the tendering and contract process.

3. Develop the ability for basic measuring of a building.

4. Summarise the role of the various forms of contract in the building process and their function

5. Develop the ability to build up an estimate and to understand the tender process.
