Building Information Modelling 3

This module will enable students to acquire the skills and competence to represent buildings and building details graphically using 3D software. Revit Architecture (BIM) helps the exploration of early design concepts and forms, and more accurately maintains a vision through design, documentation, and construction. It enables changes to be automatically updated across the project. Revit Architecture software also provides tools to support sustainable design, clash detection, construction planning, and fabrication.

1. Demonstrate knowledge of communication techniques required to procure and construct a building or structure.

2. Generate advanced technical design solutions in a BIM environment.

3. Generate a major building model using BIM authoring software.

4. Design and build generic building components and families as required using BIM authoring software.
