Financial Accounting

This module builds on the Essentials of Business module and is designed to increase the students understanding of financial accounting, financial analysis, budget preparation and cash management in the context of a sustainable business environment.

1. Discuss the importance of cash and card management, and prepare a bank reconciliation statement.

2. Analyse and interpret financial statements using ratio analysis.

3. Prepare a basic set of financial budgets in the services industries.

4. Identify and evaluate the various sources of finance and investigate their appropriate uses in the services industries.
