This module will provide learners with a sufficient knowledge to enable them to adopt responsible positions in the areas of industrial sterilisation and cleanroom operations.

1. Classify and characterise the main microorganisms responsible for contamination within the cleanroom

2. Explain the principles of the main industrial sterilisation methodologies

3. Design, validate and monitor industrial sterilisation cycles

4. Analyse the factors pertinent to the commissioning, validation and management of cleanrooms

5. Advise on the selection and validation of appropriate cleanroom technology
