Nature and Place

This module aims to equip students with knowledge of natural and cultural environments that can be utilised in early childhood settings.

1. Identify and interpret a range of habitat types and species in the Irish landscape.

2. Demonstrate and interpret the role of nature based learning within the Emergent and Inquiry-based Curriculum

3. Appraise the significance of embedding the Sustainable Development Goals, Ocean and Climate Literacy Principles in Early Learning and School Age Childcare Education

4. Evaluate the evidence for how people and communities lived in the past.
