Business lecturer made Fellow of Irish Academy of Management
Dr Noel Harvey, senior lecturer in the GMIT School of Business, was made a Fellow of the Irish Academy of Management (IAM) at their recent conference in the University of Limerick. The IAM is the leading professional association for management studies, research and education on the island of Ireland.
The award was made on the basis of Dr Harvey’s contribution to the IAM and to the discipline of management. He served as Treasurer of the IAM since its inception in 1997, and is the longest serving member of the council of the IAM.
Dr Harvey is Chairperson of the Irish Association of Industrial Relations and has organised the Countess Markievicz annual lecture and James Connolly Memorial Seminars in Dublin and Galway, as well as two Irish Academy of Management annual conferences at GMIT.
Dr Harvey has supervised many postgraduate students in his research area of industrial relations. He has been published by the LRC, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, and others.
