  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the emergence of Mental Health Nursing as a profession and the role of NMBI in the professional regulation of nursing. 

  2. Discuss the nursing process and nursing models with reference to Mental Health Nursing.

  3. Explain the role of reflective practice in Mental Health Nursing.

  4. Develop an understanding of care practices within a professional, recovery-orientated and regulatory context including key recovery drivers from the HSE and MHC.
