Reflective Practice

Description

The aim of this module is to provide the student with the knowledge and understanding of the meaning of reflective practice as part of ongoing professional development in early childhood education.

 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Critically analyse the meaning of reflection and reflective practice within professional practice.

  2. Critically analyse the main theories and models of contemporary reflective practice.

  3. Critically appraise the skills required for effective reflective practice.

  4. Critically analyse the contemporary debates related to reflective practice such as assessment and facilitation of reflective practice.
     

  5. Critically analyse the skills of reflective writing.
