Screen Writing 1

This module gives an overview of storytelling structure: including basic plot structure, writing exercises and a dramaturgical analysis of  an Irish Screenplay.

1. Relay characters grafted from personal experience rather than generic, formulaic representations.

2. Write subtext within dialogue.

3. Apply an understanding of the elements of dramatic narrative form to a screenplay.

4. Create a diverse portfolio of project ideas that they can draw upon in future coursework.

5. Write properly formatted scripts .

6. Write in treatment form.
