Social Theory

Description

The purpose of this module is to provide the learner with a detailed and comprehensive introduction to contemporary social theory in order to enhance their understanding of the social world and the ideas that influence its construction. The objective is to enhance their capacity to apply this conceptual and theoretical knowledge to the practice of social care. In particular, it is important that the professional social care worker understands the theoretical underpinnings of any professional practice. The module's focus is informed by the CORU Standards of Proficiency.

Learning Outcomes
