Structural Design and Detailing

Structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and structural steel elements in accordance with code of practices (Eurocodes).

1. Explain structural frame analysis and design.

2. Assess loading magnitudes and arrangements on structural elements.

3. Demonstrate an understanding of structural codes of practice and their application to structural design.

4. Analyse, design and detail structural steel members and connections using appropriate codes of practice and the member resistance tables.

5. Analyse, design and detail reinforced concrete members using appropriate codes of practice.

6. Conduct structural analysis experiments and analyse/discuss the results in written reports.
