Work Placement
Description
This module will enable the learner to gain practical work experience in a marketing and sales role in an organisation.
Students will work 350 hours at their placement. This time is in addition to the work placement preparation on their CV and interview skills, as well as their weekly assessment logs while on placement and final presentation and report on their assessment. The work placement module is 10 ECTS and completed with 25 ECTS in other modules in both semester 1 and 2 in that stage.
The module will develop the learner professionally and personally and equip them with the skills, knowledge and relevant business experience to give them insight to and enable them to plan for and achieve their career goals.
Learning Outcomes
Plan for work placement by identifying placement opportunities, preparing cv, cover letters , linkedin profile and demonstrating interview skills.
Apply the transferable skills they have learned on their programme thus far.
Gain experience in an industry setting of marketing, selling and/or sales support.
Enhance their interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Work effectively individually as well as part of a team.
Organise their workload and set priorities.
Demonstrate improved self-motivation in carrying out assigned tasks.
